Shadows dance to form one...
The trees swayed in the soft breeze sending the brightly colored foliage dancing to the earth with its brown limb mates. Twisting in the gust then whirled through the air, weaving through the empty space as if fleeing from some unknown danger. Hues watched as the leaves moved, glancing back at equally interested orbs, and a soft smile gracing his lips.
The smaller black male slowly stepped up to his twin, pillars falling back as his pink tongue softly brushed over the other’s muzzle, whimpering softly as he laid on the earth, wiggling around like a young pup as he pawed at the Alpha’s jowls. The brute growled acceptingly as he licked the paw once, slowly stepping over his laying brother, his tail hitting him softly in the ear as he padded over to the glittering stone edge. Spheres casted over the greenage below, pillars rotating slowly listening to the sounds of the morn. Bird sung out their morning calls, and fluttered about in the chilled autumn air.
Nares flared as a scent drifted into his lungs. Ears slowly turned back before his head turned in the direction of the wind, muzzle twitching to examine the scent. “Akin…Have you see any of the others lately?” The animal’s voice was deep and low as he padded back to his brother, easing back on his hind haunches, until he settled on his belly. Akin shook his head, eyeing Jaxx and pressed his nose lightly to the other males black coat. A sudden snort emptied his nostrils as he licked Jaxx coat, grooming the slick coat clean of any grim.
Jaxx sighed lightly as he glanced back at Akin, eyeing him as he watched the male cowar slightly, his tail slowly rising as she shifted to sit up, looming over Akin as the subordinate rolled to his back. Even though Jaxx was Alpha, he still treated his brother with respect, no matter his rank. The male smiled as he tackled Akin, growling lightly as he nipped as his throat, wincing slightly as Akin yelped. Struck back by the high pitch shrill, he recoiled, eyeing the shaking wolf. Hues darkened as he stepped away from the Omega, see what fear his rank cause him. Jaxx snarled lightly to himself, turning from his brother, and trotting down the small dear path, weaving through the underbrush, away from the ridge.
...But the light makes them fade.

Dingo stalked silently through the woods, then the scent of Jaxx met her nostrils, and so did the scent of his brother, the omega, Akin. Her heart fluttered, and her eyes closed, her ears flattening and her tail dropping. She inhaled his scent deeply before she opened her eyes again. She stepped forward and him and his brother came into sight. Being the Alpha Female, she called out to him. "Jaxx!" she said in a loud voice, her eyes sparkling happily as she bounded towards him. Her small pink tounge barely stuck out from behind her teeth, she pulled it back in quickly and smiled.

Shadows dance to form one...
Jaxx's head hung low as he trudged through the browning underbrush. Ears slowly fell back until he heard the light patter of feet not to far off. Ears swiveled in its direction as his head rose, pillars pricking forward as his dark eyes watched for the new fae.
His tassle rose instinctively until he heard the call out of his voice, and he knew instantly who is was. His stomach tightened, as he stepped into he clearing, eyes widening with the Alpha fae bounding toward him. With a light chuckled, he slowly eased back into a sit, back paws bracing himself for her tackles is she intended to.
Jaxx was not to knew to being a whole leader thing, seeing her always had been the dominate of he and his brother. But, being the leader of a pack was a new experience, including having and Alpha Fae. He knew only that Dingo was a good female, strong wiled, sometimes stubborn, and ultimately a dog that would be able to live through the cold winter with her smarts. But Jaxx was slightly unsure how he felt about her...or did he?

As Jaxx turned around, Dingo's heart stopped for a second and she held her breath. As she neared him, she skidded to a stop and her feet threw up some dust and her claws left small marks in the ground. She sat there, her tail tip twitching excitedly. She wasn't sure how well she was hiding her feelings for Jaxx , but she was certainly trying. "Hello Jaxx." she smiled "Hello Akin." she added, giving him a friendly smile as well. She liked Jaxx's brother ,as a friend of course, even though he was omega of the pack, she liked the way Jaxx had respect for him, and she tried to follow him, his brother was , after all a decent dog like the rest of them. "So, what'cha doing?" she asked them both.

.Lenka. Lenka followed the intermingled scents of her fellow packmates. They were all gathered somewhere without her. She didn't mind being left out, she usually left herself out anyway. Although, she still liked to know what was going on in the pack even if she wasn't involved. It seemed like they were having a meeting, since all three were gathered. She could scent Jaxx first, his being the strongest, and then she could easily distinguish Akin. Dingo's scent came later after the brothers'. She could scent anxiety and excitement coming from the femme's scent mark. Soon enough, she reached the three. It seemed like small chit chatty kind of talk. She stayed up away from them on top of the mountains, so she could see them but not hear them. Although, she didn't need to hear them to see that Dingo was either trying too hard or...desperate. Or both. She chuckled to herself about the Alpha Fae. Obviously she liked Jaxx. Now, Lenka didn't see Jaxx have the same affectionate attitude toward her that she did for him. It amused Lenka. It amused her greatly. It's not like she was jealous at all, because she wasn't. Lenka liked Jaxx, but he wasn't the one for her. There wasn't anyone for her, so she was convinced. She came down the mountain, if she could actually call it like that. It was much more a hill than a mountain. Her paws skidded down the mountain and her claws dug into the soft brown earth. It didn't support her much, the soil was moist and very crumbly today. Instead of trying to get down carefully, she just ran down and gave it all she got. Her long fur ruffled in the wind, or was it just her and the impact she had? She wasn't sure. Lenka reached the bottom and trotted to her pack. She nodded as she passed Akin. It wasn't a nod like "you are less than I am" nor was it a nod that said "we are equals." It was more like a friendly hello, but without saying anything to him. She went to sit down next to Jaxx, but noticed Dingo was practically going at him at full speed, her tongue lolling out of her mouth. Lenka jumped back in surprise, her fur bristling, and her front paw raised. When the Alpha Fae began to slow down, she let her fur lie flat and planted her paw back on the ground. Instead of sitting next to Jaxx she sat some tail lengths away from him just to sit in the group. "Nice to see you-" She turned her head to face Akin, who was behind her, "three." Lenka thought it was a stupid idea to come charging down the hill like she had no brain like she just did. Then again, she would be calling Dingo an idiot then, too. Now she felt very inside the crowd with her hello's. She somewhat hoped they would ignore her, because she felt herself become a little more skiddish by the moment. Except, she stopped showing any emotions and hid them all. She didn't want anyone to have any clue of what she was thinking. Being the Beta, she couldn't show weakness, not even to her own pack. And being skiddish was clearly a weakness. OOC: Whew, long-ish post. 557 words.

Shadows dance to form one...
Jaxx knew the two females treated Akin well, an he admired them for that. Akin greeted them with a soft whimpering whine, then folded back his ears as he slowly rose, turning to the deer path Jaxx was heading down earlier. Akin loved being around the other in the pack, but not then his brother was around, so for now, he kept his distance.
Jaxx loved his brother, and allowed no one to put his brother in the omega's place. A few times his temper has gotten the best of him and he has snapped at few who have tried. Akin admired his brother for this, and usueally stayed at his side.
Jaxx watched as Akin slipped away and he sighed, wishing he cold join. Slowly, he lowered to the earth, he tail thudding lightly on the earth as he nodded to the two faes,"Morning."
Akin glanced back at the two females, his yes gleaming as he watched Dingo eying his brother. He felt a tightening in his stomach as his tail tucked under, his attention turning back to the path as he disappeared.
...But the light makes them fade.

Dingo lunged at Akin. "Where are you going?" she asked him sadly. "Come here!" she added quickly, stopping and her tail drooping to the ground. She sighed and cocked her head to the side in disappointment. She turned back to the other dogs. Jaxx seemed like he wanted to disapear and Lenka...Well, Dingo was never really sure about the beta. "Hello." she added, nodding to her. Then, she turned to Jaxx. "So, have euther of you been hunting?" she asked, casting a quick glance at LKenka as well.

.Lenka Lenka forced a smile when Dingo leaped at Akin. She found it a bit rude, but she held her tongue. She knew better than to challenge any of the alphas since she wasn't higher in rank. Lenka could tell by Dingo's body language that she was trying very hard to get Jaxx to like her, and trying to keep all her attention on him. She put her mind back on task and nodded. "I have tried, but as the season gets colder most of the prey has gone. We may be able to catch a few squirrels, but we may need to go hungry a few nights. Unless we want to scrounge for food in the cities." She held her head up high as she added, "But we're too noble to steal." At least I am, I hope the others agree with me... She felt like letting out a sigh. Why was she so involved with the pack all of a sudden? Maybe the new beta position was getting the better of her. She didn't feel comfortable talking a lot like she was. Or so it felt like she was. Her eyes shifted toward Jaxx. She felt something from him, some sort of feeling that made her unsure if she could trust him. Lenka tried to keep her distance from him. She didn't want to be hurt...yet again.

Shadows dance to form one...
Jaxx's large ears slowly fell back his legs slipped out from under his belly, half rolling to rest on his hip. His coal black fur gleamed in the light, speckled by the rays that beamed through the foliage. Muscles rippled and twitched under his coat with ever moce his lean frame made. He was built for life in the wild, his domestic blood something he had never been to fond of.
He found dogs that accepted humans at thier alphas were weak. They where bound to where the humans wanted them to go, forced to obey their commands, and some dressed in the Human's pup's clothing. He found it sickening. He would rather be sprayed by skunk for the rest of his life.
How could a dog demean himself to that level, when being out on your own was what life was really like? Sure, they provided you with food and a place to sleep, but the whole idea...was to soft he viewed on a dog. He had also seen what it could do to a dog...an that sent shivers down his spine.
His mind wondered back to the situation as his eyes turned to Dingo, a soft smile on his jowls as his head flopped and shook rapidly, causing him to scratch frantically at his flea bitten ear. "Human's waste so much food this time of year it makes my skin crawl. They place them on the street, to be taken to the land dump, then it just goes to waste," he grumbled lightly to himself. "Tomorrow we can head down into the valley and see what we can find. If no deer are found...we might head into the city."
...But the light makes them fade.

.Lenka. Lenka nodded at Jaxx. He was right, humans were a waste. A waste of life on this Earth, probably the worst thing ever created. Even worse than some of their forest enemies like porcupines and badgers. Which, not to mention, hurt like hell. She once had porcupine needles covering her face; one was so close to her eye it hurt just thinking about it actually striking her eye. They did come out after some painful pulling. She was lucky not to get an infection. The other encounter she had with a badger was not so friendly, either. Their long and vicious claws were intimidating, but she ended up winning the fight (unlike her unfortunate meeting with a porcupine). unfinished. unfinished. unfinished. OOC: Sorry for the long wait, I'll find Duke and tell her to post.
